Constitutional Court Rejects Action against the Lisbon Treaty

Also available in Deutsch

The Czech Constitutional Court today declared the sections of the Lisbon Treaty which were presented to the court by the ODS senate parliamentary group as compatible with the national right. A change of the Czech constitution therefore is not required. The process of ratification which at first was interrupted could be continued now. Czechia is the only remaining EU country in which the parliament has still not voted on the Lisbon Treaty.
