This year the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung celebrates its 50th anniversary of European and International Cooperation. Hence it publishes a report explaining the development from the beginning in 1962 to the present day. The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) was and still is committed to fostering democracy and the rule of law, to implementing social and market-economic structures and to promoting human rights. 800 citizens listen to the first „State of Europe“ address at the Pergamon Museum in Berlin

„Today, Europe’s 500 million citizens have the foundation on which to build a better Europe in the future,” said Herman Van Rompuy, President of the European Council in the first „State of Europe“ address. Second German-Czech Day at Masaryk University in Brno aroused big interest

On October 26th, 2010 the second German-Czech Day which was organized by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in cooperation with the International Institute of Political Science (IIPS), took place at the Masaryk University in Brno. The event was tailored specifically to the students of the University and tried to support the aliveness and diversity of the Czech-German relations. Furthermore the event tried to deepen the intercultural dialogue between both neigbouring countries and the interest of Czech students for Germany. more…

Regional Journalism Awards 2010

On Friday, the 8th of October, the award ceremony of the Regional Journalism Awards took place at the hotel Slunce in Havlíčkův Brod. For the eighth time KAS Prague had organised the award ceremony of the Regional Journalism Awards in cooperation with the weekly “Respekt”, the Representation of the European Commission in the Czech Republic and the European Parliament Information Office. more…
