KAS together with UMDF launches its report "Assessing the State of Political Pluralism, Democratic Participation and Representation in Uganda". It marks the final milestone in the EU funded project "Strengthening Civil Society, Media and Local Councils’ Capacity to Promote Political Pluralism, Democratic Participation and Representation at Local Government Level in Uganda" after a 1,5 year phase of intense training and research. The Districts include Arua, Gulu, Kasese, Masaka, Mbale, Mbarara, and Soroti, and conclusions for the general situation in Uganda will be drawn from that. For the launch, representatives of key national politicians, civil society, media and political leaders are invited. The purpose of launching the report in Kampala is to give it a national presentation that reaches out to stakeholders beyond the target groups and the districts and also to attract visibility.
