German Day 2013
The Office of the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation presented its work and staff during the German Day 2013 celebration. Numerous visitors discussed with us about our projects and objectives while learning about the history of KAS and our global role within development politics. The German Day targets especially young people to attract their attention towards Germany and the diverse engagement of Germany in Vietnam.
During the visit of the Vice President and European Commissioner for Enterprise and Industry from 12.-13.11., representatives from industry associations and from the political sector from the EU and Vietnam discussed future cooperation i.a. in the SME-sector as well as in the field of sustainable tourism. In light of its ongoing EU service contract "Support to Business, Public Diplomacy and Outreach in Vietnam", the KAS Office in Vietnam co-organized the visit of the EU-Delegation to Vietnam.
Chair of the ASEAN Delegation of the European Parliament, Dr. Werner Langen, arrived in Hanoi to hold inter-parliamentary meetings with Vietnamese counterparts. The regular meetings are to close ties between the Parliaments, and to deepen the Europe–Vietnam relations. KAS Country Representative, Rabea Brauer, met with the Delegation to introduce the extensive KAS country program as well as the ongoing EU projects and their positive implications to Vietnam’s economical and social development.
The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung is one of the political foundations of the Federal Republic of Germany. With its activities and projects, the Foundation realizes an active and substantial contribution to international cooperation and understanding.
