Presenting different constitutional review models for Vietnam
KAS Vietnam together with the Vietnamese Institute of State and Law (ISL) hosted 2 seminars on “Models of Constitutionalism for Vietnam” from 6. to 10. May 2013 in Hanoi and Vung Tao. German and Vietnamese constitutional experts presented and discussed various constitutional review models suitable for Vietnam within the context of the ongoing constitutional reform in Vietnam.
Media and climate change protection in Vietnam
From the 24th until the 25th of April 2013 the KAS office in Vietnam organized with the Vietnam Journalist Association (VJA) a seminar on how the media covers the question of climate change protection in Vietnam. Media representatives not only discussed the direct effects of climate change on Vietnam, but also analysed how the media can disseminate more information on mechanisms for minimizing, preventing and adapting to the effects of climate change to the public.
Seminar about law enforcement in Vietnam
From 16.-17.04. the KAS office in Vietnam organized together with Department of General Affairs and Legal Development of the Vietnamese Ministry of Justice (MoJ) a seminar on the "Implementation of Laws in Vietnam". During the conference, Vietnamese officials discussed the development of indicators to monitor the successful implementation of laws in Vietnam. Within its international cooperation activities the KAS contributes to the strengthening of rule-of-law structures in Vietnam.
