Co-organised by the NA foreign department and KAS Vietnam, important delegates met in a conference in Can Tho, to evaluate the necessity of stronger participation of the NA in foreign diplomacy. Comprehensive expert speeches were followed by intensive discussions about the question how the NA needs to adapt to a changing world structure.

Parliamentarians and officers of the National Assembly (NA) met in conferences in Can Tho City and Vinh Phuc Province, to evaluate the necessity of stronger participation of the NA in foreign diplomacy. The events are co-organised by KAS and the NA's Foreign Affairs Committee.

From 13-17 August the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam and KAS will host the workshop “Course Building: Multilateral Diplomacy”. Twelve lecturers from national universities will take part in learning to design a new course using methodology and content

Vietnamese Lecturers take on skills to build course on multilateral diplomacy

In a DAV and KAS cooperation, Vietnamese lecturers developed skills to build an academic course on multilateral diplomacy and to advance their teaching methods. During the workshop, topics such as theories of international relations and the practice of big and middle powers were given attention.

Enhancing citizens' participation in policy making processes in East Asia

International and Vietnamese experts gather in Hanoi for 1.5 days to discuss the obstacles preventing democracy though it is constitutionalised. Also high on the agenda is how to improve grassroots democracy in East Asian countries. The conference is coorganised by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and KAS Vietnam.
