Quarterly Report IV

Quarterly Report(IV) - Independent Assessment on Vietnam's macroeconomic policies

Today, KAS Vietnam supported the presentation of the 4th Quarterly Report 2017, an independent assessment of Vietnam’s macroeconomic policies, by the VEPR in Hanoi. The presentation was followed by a panel discussion with economic experts and a Q&A Session with the more than 80 participants and journalists.

The 8th China Talk

The 8th China Talk: the 19th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party

KAS Vietnam and the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam were hosting the 8th China Talk today. Prof. Srikanth Kondapalli, Professor in Chinese Studies in New Delhi, gave an presentation on the 19th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party. Around 75 participants attended the debate.

The 1st Ocean Dialogue: The Case of the South China Sea

The first debate of Ocean Governance Strategies, co-organised by KAS Vietnam, Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam and the Australian embassy took place today in Hanoi. The seminar about the case of the South China Sea is organised in talk-show format with participation of about 75 people.

Assessment on the Cooperation Result of the Legal Service on the Law of Education

KAS Vietnam, the Ministry of Justice amd the Ministry of Education & Training gathered for an assessment on the cooperation result of legal service and discussed amendments of the Law on Education. The debate with over 100 participants focused on Vietnam’s move towards a knowledge-based economy.

Hello everybody, My name is Jonas Nitschke (22 years old) and I will be supporting the team of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Vietnam in their office in Hanoi during the next three months. While working in Vietnam, I want to get a certain understanding of the political and economic landscape and the role of Vietnam in Southeast Asia. German-Vietnamese media dialogue 2017 kicked off in Hanoi

The week-long summer camp, which was co-organized by KAS and Vietnam Journalists Association, attracted 22 young journalists from the Northern region.
