Financial and Banking Union and its importance for the completion of the EMU

The BDI/KAS working Group on the European Economic and Monetary Union (EMU)

While common supervision is largely in place, recent developments in resolution have risen doubts and there is no consensus on the third pillar, the common deposit insurance. In this workshop we will discuss the complex relations between BU and EMU and the policies required for a resilient and prosperous EMU.

This session will be chaired by Klaus Günter Deutsch (Head of Department 'Research, Industrial and Economic Policy', BDI) and Hardy Ostry (Head of the European Office of KAS).
