Counselling Workshops for Selecting the Research Topics at NCPR in 2009

The NCPR had held several workshops for selecting its Research Topics in 2009. Each department of NCPR had organized and prepared 15very vital topics to be evaluated by the participants and they had to vote for the most important ones. More than 71 participants, Experts of Economics, Social Sciences and Law & Political Sciences from Governmental and Non-Governmental Organizations, Professors of Kabul University and professionals from the Academy of Sciences of Afghanistan attended.

Counselling Workshops for Selecting the Research Topics at NCPR in 2009

The National Centre for Policy Research (NCPR), Partner of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, had held several workshops for selecting its Research Topics in 2009. Each department of NCPR had organized and prepared 15 very vital topics to be evaluated by the participants and they had to vote for the most important ones.

More than 71 participants, Experts of Economics, Social Sciences and Law & Political Sciences from Governmental and Non-Governmental Organizations, Professors of Kabul University and professionals from the Academy of Sciences of Afghanistan attended.

As a result, following topics got the priority with highest score and were chosen as the research topics of NCPR in 2009.

1. “Judiciary Reform and Its Independence in Afghanistan” (Law and Political Sciences)

2. “The Outcomes of ‘Free’ Market Economy System on Afghan Economy” (Economics)

3. “Unemployment and Its Social Effects” (Social Sciences)

4. “Peace from View of Islam and How to Implement It in Afghanistan” (Peace Studies)

The departments will start the research projects from Mid of March 2009.
