SUPPORT FOR RESOLVING THE NAME ISSUE

Macedonian delegation received by Hans-Gert Pöttering

On February 21st, Dr. Hans-Gert Pöttering, former Chairman of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and former President of the European Parliament, received Macedonian Deputy Prime Minister Bujar Osmani and Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Dimitrov for confidential talks.

Anti-Xenophobia Dialogue

The Anti-Xenophobia Dialogue is done in cooperation with the South African Council of Churches in Gauteng. It forms part of a series of events which aims at the eradication of xenophobia and promotion of social cohesion by strengthening conflict resolution skills of community leaders, improving liaison with Government and other agencies on the provision of relief during attacks. The first Dialogue took place on the 14th of February 2018 at Khotso House in Johannesburg.

CONSTITUTIONAL DIALOGUE ON THE TOPIC "CITIZEN FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS"

On Saturday, February 17, 2018, the “Lebanese Constitutional Dialogue“ hosted the third panel discussion, this time on issues of the protection of fundamental rights, at the premises of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in Beirut. Theory and reality of the Lebanese Constitution, its relevance to the rule of law and the individual citizen – these are cross-cutting points of reference for the topics chosen by the participants to be discussed together with of experts in the field.

KAS-FICCI Dialogue I

Multilateralism at crossroads

On February 19th, 2018, the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and the India Office of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) organized the first dialogue with the topic "Multilateralism at crossroads" in the KAS-FICCI dialogue series, in which not only experts from think tanks and scientists participated but also representatives of the Parliament and the United Nations (UN).

KAS-Martens Centre Discussion Club 2018

New workshop series for Belarusians

In 2016 the Belarus Country Office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, in cooperation with the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies (Brussels), is starting a new workshop series: the “KAS-Martens Centre Discussion Club”. The aim of this initiative is to set up a non-partisan learning, professionalisation, discussion and exchange of ideas club for high-qualified Belarusian students and young professionals.
