KAS RLP SEE has finalized a comprehensive publication, the translation into Bulgarian language of numerous landmark decisions by the German Federal Constitutional Court. The successful conclusion of the project coincides with the 70th anniversary of the adoption of the German Basic Law, the “Grundgesetz”.

In that respect, a high-level conference on “The role of the national constitutional court in the establishment of the rule of law” takes place at the Palace of Justice in Sofia on 27 May 2019. The printed compilation of decisions will be presented to the public at this event. Among the speakers will be Dr. Sibylle Kessal-Wulf, judge at the German Federal Constitutional Court, and Prof. Boris Velchev, the President of the Bulgarian Constitutional Court. The Konrad Adenauer Foundation considers the publication as an important step towards strengthening the institutional and judicial cooperation between Germany and Bulgaria in the realm of preserving fundamental rights and liberties, safeguarding the constitutional order and applying the rule of law.
