"Jordan is a key partner of Germany in the Middle East. Both countries are strong advocates of regional and international dialogue" emphasized Dr. Edmund Ratka, Resident Representative of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in Jordan during the initiation event of the third wave of the foreign relations survey.

The survey was launched on the 18th of October 2021 in cooperation with NAMA Strategic Intelligence Solutions - نماء and in attendance of Mr. Nasser Judeh, former minister of foreign affairs in Jordan.

Portraying the opinion of 1223 Jordanians, it examines Jordanian perceptions of the country’s foreign relations. Respondents were asked questions about Jordan’s political and diplomatic relations, the role of external actors in Jordan as well as regional and international conflicts. When asked about the stability of the region the vast majority (73%) consider the regional situation to be unstable. Results pointed towards a perceived improvement of political relations with the Gulf States. Compared to the last survey in 2019, the perception of the US as a strong political and economic partner improved.
