Orientation for newly elected Honorouble Women Members of the National Assembly of Pakistan

A three-day orientation programme of the newly elected honourable women Members of National Assembly of Pakistan was held at the Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services (PIPS) Islamabad. The event was organized in collaboration with Konrad Adenauer Stiftung. The purpose was to build knowledge and awareness on parliamentary culture and processes, the Constitution as well as Legislative and Non-Legislative Process.

The orientation programme aims to brief the newly elected Honourable Women Members of the National Assembly of Pakistan about the working of the Parliament and Parliamentary tools; this orientation programme provided an opportunity to the newly elected women parliamentarians to gain knowledge about parliamentary practice and procedures. Expanding over seven sessions, it covered major topical subjects such as the parliamentary Decorum and Traditions, Constitution and Federalism, Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business and the overview of Legislative process.
