Youth Energy Academy 2020
Veranstaltungsberichte
21 participants including 6 groups from 5 Asian countries (Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, and Thailand) attended the virtual training programme. The Youth Energy Academy was supported by 7 partner organizations and 14 resource persons including international and local trainers, facilitators, guest speakers, and 5 YEA 2019 alumni (as mentors).
The theoretical sessions in the morning were conducted through Zoom with using interactive presentations, case studies, group discussions, and exercises, where country teams worked simultaneously with the support of facilitators and trainers. With the support of mentors, participants built and tested an array of energy systems - a solar box oven, a solar charging station, and a power bank by following DIY videos recorded by trainers.
In addition, participants virtually visited and explored a community energy project and the Fosera solar company and also learned from the case study on Tha Manao Community Biogas from Swine Farms in the region. They gathered more information on these projects through a zoom discussion and Q&A with key resource persons from the respective projects.
