KAS Panel Discussion followed by Networking Lunch - 4 April, 2024 - Wellington, NZ (this event is in English only)

Konrad Adenauer Stiftung – Regional Programme for Australia and the Pacific (KAS Australia) is pleased to support a panel discussion followed by a networking luncheon on 4 April 2024 in Wellington. Moderated by KAS Australia’s Director, Bertil Wenger, the panel discussion will be concerned with “Emerging Democracies in Africa and the Pacific – Challenges in A World of Turmoil” and feature high level speakers from those regions. The event will be held in the context of the IDU Forum scheduled to take place from 3 to 5 April 2024 in New Zealand’s capital.

The Konrad Adenauer Lecture Series is dedicated to enhancing understanding of Europe and Germany in Australia and the wider region. With the Indo-Pacific quickly gaining geo-political importance, it is vital in reciprocity to enhance understanding of the region to European stakeholders as well. The initiative is the culmination of a longstanding partnership between the ANU Centre for European Studies and the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, a German political foundation with a regional representation in Canberra, covering Australia, New Zealand and 13 Pacific Island States.

Pacific Political Party Workshop

Legal and Regulatory Frameworks for Political Parties

In Kooperation mit dem United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Fidschi, organisierte das KAS-Regionalprogramm Australien und Pazifik einen regionalen Workshop zu politischen Parteien im Pazifik, der in Port Vila, Vanuatu stattfand. Ziel des Workshops war es, die Diskussion über eine Reform zur Organisation von politischen Parteien in Vanuatu zu unterstützen.

In Zusammenarbeit mit dem College of Asia and the Pacific an der Australien National University führten wir zum ersten Mal eine gemeinsame Konferenz durch, die sich den Herausforderungen und Möglichkeiten widmete, die von Asien ausgehen

Pacific Update 2018

In Kooperation mit der School of Economics an der University of the South Pacific und dem Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Regionalprogramm Australien und Pazifik hat das Development Policy Centre der Australian National University (ANU) das Pacific Update 2018, eine Konferenz für gesellschaftspolitische Themen im Südpazifik, veranstaltet. Das Symposion fand vom 5. bis zum 6. Juli in Suva, Fidschi statt.
