She is also the author of Voices of Jordan, a book published in 2018 that tells the story of a nation through the eyes of its people. As a freelance journalist, her work continues to mainly be published in the New York Times and covers the Syrian refugee crisis, Jordanian political reform, extremism and regional developments. She holds an MA from the Graduate School of Political Management at George Washington University and a BA in Journalism from Hofstra University.
