Global Climate Alliance For Accelerated Climate Action

von Karin Jancyková, Denis Schrey

The GCA Collaborative is proposing an open and inclusive global agreement to massively accelerate the Global South’s progress to net-zero emissions.

This report offers the Collaborative’s perspectives on how a GCA can assist the Global South in reaching net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by mid-century.

📍In 2015, the world came together to agree on a 1.5°C target. In 2022, we are not on the trajectory required for it.

👉💡The Global Climate Alliance Report presents a new way of collaboration between the Global North and the Global South to tackle the climate change. The GCA initiative will facilitate a cooperative alliance based on mutual incentives and commitments. It is going to be a game changer.

🔎 This report gives perspectives on how a climate alliance can help the South reach net-zero emissions through financial and technical assistance by the North.
