The rising cases of organized crime including terrorism, insurgency, armed banditry, kidnapping, and violent extremism in North-East geopolitical zone of Nigeria have had negative impacts on Personnel of security agencies and the civilian populace in the six North-East states. Through this seminar, KAS is expanding platforms for productive engagement among the various security agencies to strengthen collaboration, as well as avenues to encourage active cooperation between security agencies and civilian citizens through information sharing, confidence and trust building to effectively combat insecurity in the zone and promote progressive growth. As part of KAS’ sustainability plan, the seminar series which have achieved laudable milestones over the years in planning and implementation, will further set roadmaps for strengthening platforms for inclusiveness to enable relevant stakeholders to replicate results in the various communities. The seminar is part of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung’s support to the Security Sector Reform in Nigeria. This program is funded by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.
