Greece is on the move. The crisis-ridden country has lost substantially in economic and financial terms due to the debt crisis since 2010. But the country has also gained: socially and in terms of a changed mindset of many of those living and intending to stay in Greece. The Greek society is adapting, in many ways painfully, to new conditions and circumstances. But in many cases a creative, positive-minded approach to counter the crisis can be seen: young entrepreneurs are starting up, civil society initiatives are bringing a new social spirit to the surface, associations and community initiatives engage in neighbourhood support. As these stories often fall behind the usual reporting about Greece, dialoggers, the Greek-German journalists’ project of KAS Athens, intends to tell them.
