Zum Auftakt des Neuen Jahres lud die Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in Washington zur Diskussion transatlantischer Themen ein. Redner war der Leiter des KAS Büros in London Hans-Hartwig Blomeier. Herr Blomeier gab seine Einschätzung zu dem möglichen Austritt Großbritanniens aus der Europäischen Union und die Konsequenzen auf beiden Seiten des Atlantiks und diskutierte mit sechzig Experten von Think Tanks, Regierung und Privatwirtschaft.
