All India Santal Welfare and Cultural Society (AISWACS)
The All India Santal Welfare and Cultural Society is an indigenous tribal organization involved in the socio-political empowerment of Adivasis (indigenous tribals) themselves. The Santals are one of the most oppressed and socio-politically victimised communities in India. The Society has become a partner in development activities with the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in the year 1996. The Society has been regularly organising a series of programmes under the project entitled: Training for Social Transformation among the Adivasis of Santal Parganas.
Centre for Rural Entrepreneurship and Technical Education (CREATE)
CREATE works directly with the rural target groups on issues related to child rights, poverty eradication, employment generation and women empowerment. It is also engaged in action research and implementation of pilot projects, based on research models for social and economic upliftment.The projects with the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung focus on the support of training programmes with members of Panchayati Raj Institutions and Village Councils in selected areas.
The Centre for the Study of Developing Societies is an independent research institute that covers the whole range of development issues in India. The CSDS can be said to have pioneerd large-scale empirical studies of the social and cultural basis of politics in South Asia. The broad spectrum of the Centre goes from small empiric research studies, international conferences to research projects with a big team over years. About 40 scholars work within the CSDS. The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung has commissioned a Study about the Indian Youth to the Centre for the Study of Develoing Societies in 2006.
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) works to create and sustain an environment conducive to the development of India, partnering industry, Government, and civil society, through advisory and consultative processes.CII is a non-government, not-for-profit, industry-led and industry-managed organization, playing a proactive role in India's development process. Founded in 1895, India's premier business association has around 8000 members, from the private as well as public sectors, including SMEs and MNCs, and an indirect membership of over 200,000 enterprises from around 240 national and regional sectoral industry bodies.In its 120th year of service to the nation, the CII theme of Build India - Invest in Development: A Shared Responsibility, reiterates Industry’s role and responsibility as a partner in national development. The focus is on four key enablers: Facilitating Growth and Competitiveness, Promoting Infrastructure Investments, Developing Human Capital, and Encouraging Social Development.With 66 offices, including 9 Centres of Excellence, in India, and 8 overseas offices in Australia, Bahrain, China, Egypt, France, Singapore, UK, and USA, as well as institutional partnerships with 312 counterpart organizations in 106 countries, CII serves as a reference point for Indian industry and the international business community.
In Kooperation mit der CR Irani Foundation wurde eine Schule für Journalismus gegründet. Die Kurse und Seminare der Journalistenstudierenden basieren auf einem ständig aktualisiertem Curriculum. Hier werden den Studierenden Basistechniken des Journalismus sowie Interpretationsmethoden und Analyse beigebracht, um sie im Hinblick auf politische, soziale und wirtschaftliche Geschehnisse zu sensibilisieren. Die Fakultät besteht aus Journalisten des Statesman sowie von anderen Medien, aber auch aus Rechts-, Finanz- und Wissenschaftsexperten. Indem sie Seminare und Konferenzen für die Studierenden organisiert haben, hat die KAS und der Statesman einen zusätzlichen Wert für das Programm geschaffen. Neben dem regulärem SPJS Curriculumsaktivitäten, führen die KAS und die CR Irani Foundation Seminare wie die jährliche Herausgeberkonferenz durch, um gegenwärtige politische Themen mit Experten aus unterschiedlichen Feldern (Journalismus, Politik, Akademie und Diplomatie) zu besprechen. Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI)
The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry is the rallying point for free enterprises in India. The Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has enabled the Indian business sector to strengthen its competitivenes and to enhance its global expansion. FICCI has a nationwide membership of over 1500 corporates and over 500 chambers of commerce and business associations. FICCI maintains the lead as a proactive business solution provider through research, interactions at the highest political level and global networking. The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung runs a combined Study and Seminar programme on 'Economic Reforms on State Level' together with FICCI. Furthermore, high ranking forums pertaining to economic policy were organized together with FICCI.
Federation of Indo-German Societies in India (FIGS)
FIGS was set up 40 years ago. The principal objects for which it was established are: to strengthen the existing friendly relations between India and the Federal Republic of Germany; and to promote and develop relations between the two countries in literary, cultural, social, commercial and industrial fields, and explore and develop new areas of mutual cooperation, understanding and goodwill. Towards these objectives FIGS organises lectures, symposia and get-togethers. It has a scholarship programme for research in Germany for M. Phil and Ph. D. scholars. To achieve its objectives it has a membership which comprises of eminent academics, foundations and corporates, amongst others. For the past years FIGS and KAS have had a mutually beneficial and cooperative partnership to promote their common goal of creating an increased awareness of Germany in India. They have jointly organised successful round-tables and seminars in New Delhi and elsewhere in India. The current President of FIGS is Ambassador Satinder K. Lambah, former Indian envoy to Germany.
Indian Council of Research in International Economic Relations (ICRIER)
Established in August 1981, ICRIER is an autonomous, policy-oriented, not-for-profit, economic policy think tank. ICRIER's main focus is to enhance the knowledge content of policy making by undertaking analytical research that is targeted at informing India's policy makers and also at improving interface with the global economy. ICRIER's office is located in the institutional complex of India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.ICRIER’s Board of Governors includes leading academicians, policymakers, and representatives from the private sector. Dr. Isher Ahluwalia is ICRIER’s chairperson and Dr. Rajat Kathuria, is Director and Chief Executive.
The Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses was established in New Delhi in 1965. It is considered to be the premier strategic and security studies think tank in India. Over the years the Institute has enlarged its focus of research from Defence Studies to cover issues of National and International Security. The Institute is funded by the Indian Ministry of Defence, but functions autonomously. Apart from the research the Institute also provides training programmes to civilian and military officers of the Government of India. The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung holds seminars and exchanges on security issues with the IDSA.
The Joint Staff Development Programme - KAS Partner Network is a network of current and former partners of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung which basically focus on development related issues. The oldest partner of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, Vishwa Yuvak Kendra, is also part of the JSDP-KAS Partner Network. The Cooperation between the Foundation and Vishwa Yuvak Kendra startet already in the year 1968. Madras Management Association (MMA)
The Madras Management Association (MMA) was founded in August 1956 with the objective of furthering management development. Its contribution to management development can be gauged by the growth of its membership strength from 20 to over 3000 during the last 50 years. Since March 1989 MMA has assisted small and medium entrepreneurs in manangement education through an Entrepreneurship Development Cell in cooperation with the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung. During the years the cooperation has expanded both in content and magnitude. Besides this project the Madras Management Association has organized events together with the Foundation to promote private sector initiatives to sustain growth and employment in the South of India.
The PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry is an apex organization at regional level that was established in 1905. The Chamber is serving the states of Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttaranchal, Uttar Pradesh and Union Territory of Chandigarh. The Chamber’s membership covers large and medium industrial units, banks, export houses, commercial establishment, professionals. The Chamber is having a direct membership of 1500 companies and 122 "Associations" as members. In collaboration with the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung the Chamber is serving small and medium enterprises for the last 18 years in capability and skill building. Since the project was envisaged it has made agreat deal of progress in North India through its training programmes, conferences and seminars. It has assisted a huge number of executives and entrepreneurs so far in upgrading their managerial capabilities and skills and preparing them to face global competition in the ever-changing economic scenario.
The Energy and Resources Institute was formally established in 1974 with the purpose of tackling and dealing with the immense and acute problems that mankind is likely to be faced with in the years ahead. TERI deals with the development of approaches to solve global problems in the areas of energy, environment and current development issues. In the year 2002 the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung started a cooperation with TERI on foreign, trade and security policy aspects of enery.
The United Service Institution of India was founded in 1870 by a soldier scholar, Colonel (later Major General) Sir Charles MacGregor. The story of its growth is the story of the growth of the Indian Armed Forces. It was founded for 'furtherance of interest and knowledge in the art, science and literature of the Defence Services. The Institution began with a membership of 215 members. When it moved to its present premises, the number stood at about 3500, and has presently crossed 12,700.
Established with the active support of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the Vishwa Yuvak Kendra was inaugurated in 1968 by the then President of India, Dr. Zakir Husain. Ensconced in the prestigious Diplomatic Enclave of New Delhi, the Kendra has grown to be a fountainhead of a wide variety of youth - related activities.Vishwa Yuvak Kendra is a pioneering organization in the field of youth development; the Kendra was set up by the Indian Youth Centres Trust with a view to:•Orient the youth to the developmental process and enable them to participate I the process of nation building.•Foster initiatives for unfolding the potential of youth through a constant process of self evaluation and self-exploration.•Enable youth to acquire such knowledge, skills and techniques which will help them in their personal and social growth as well as foster in them a sensitivity towards problems in the community•Promote national integration and international understanding by developing youth leadership and providing a forum for youth from diverse background.•Promote regional co-operation and exchange between people of various countries.•Promote research in youth work.The Cooperation between the Foundation and Vishwa Yuvak Kendra started already in the year 1968. Being the only Youth Training Institution in India back then, KAS helped to found the organization and supported it financially.

Propelled by the process of reforms initiated in the 1990s, ORF, over the past 30 years of its existence, has effectively narrated and participated in India’s story as the country acquired an unmistakable global footprint. From primarily looking inward and engaging with domestic reforms, to gradually forging global partnerships, ORF today plays a seminal role in building political and policy consensus that enables India to interact with the world.
The India Office of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung has been collaborating with the Observer Research Foundation since 2017 for various events and delegations including the flagship event- the Raisina Dialogue as well as other events like the Kolkata Colloquium, , the Colaba Conversation and mounting a delegation as a part of the India-EU-Germany Dialogue on Effective Global Governance: A New Era of Multilateral Cooperation. The Raisina Dialogue, which is organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India together with the Observer Research Foundation and partnered by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation India amongst others, is considered the largest conference in Asia on geostrategic issues.
The 'Centre for China Analysis and Strategy' (CCAS) is a non-profit and apolitical organization established initially for the objective study, research and analysis of developments relating to contemporary China and Tibet. It focuses on China's internal developments and politics, China's economy, China's armed forces, China's foreign and strategic policies and China's scientific and technological establishment.
The CCAS is unique as it is the only think-tank in India that bases its analyses primarily on material and reports in the Chinese and Tibetan languages. These are supplemented with inputs from other specialized published works, meetings with Chinese, Tibetan and other experts in India and abroad, and conferences and seminars related to China and Tibet. Such specialized study of contemporary China and Tibet that is being done by the Centre for China Analysis and Strategy (CCAS) is presently being done by no other institute in India and only a few others abroad. The India Office of KAS collaborated with CCAS to organize a diginar on ‘China’s Internal Situation, Post-Covid: An Overview’ in September 2020 and plans to collaborate further in this Sino-centric geostrategic endeavour.

The Media Rumble (TMR) is an annual news media forum organised by Newslaundry and Teamwork Arts. It brings together leading news professionals, tech innovators, policymakers, geo-strategists, filmmakers and investors from across the world and is one of the most high-profile media conferences in South Asia. It has had many partners of international repute like UNWomen, Oxfam and the Norwegian Embassy in the past while in 2020 the India Office of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) joined Google, Facebook, the US Embassy amongst others in partnering the fourth edition of The Media Rumble which was a digital-only conference, titled TMR@Online.

WAN-IFRA Conference in South Asia is a dedicated platform to discuss developments in business and technology in news media publishing space. The event attracts senior delegates from the industry and the leading suppliers of news products / services showcasing their offerings to the industry. The India Office of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung has partnered with WAN-IFRA for events since 2018.
Gateway House: Indian Council on Global Relations is a foreign policy think-tank established in 2009, to engage India’s leading corporations and individuals in debate and scholarship on India’s foreign policy and its role in global affairs. Gateway House’s studies programme is at the heart of the institute’s scholarship, with original research by global and local scholars in geo-economics, geopolitics, foreign policy analysis, bilateral relations, democracy and nation-building, national security, ethnic conflict and terrorism, science, technology and innovation, and energy and environment. The cooperation between the India Office of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and Gateway House started in 2017. Different projects on geostrategic issues and multilateralism including Thinktanks-20 (T-20) conference as a precursor to the G-20 amongst similarly geo-economic themed events have been undertaken so far as a part of this partnership.
The Institute of Chinese Studies, Delhi (ICS) is one of the oldest research institutions on China and East Asia in India. With support from the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, it is the mandate of the ICS to develop a strategic vision for India’s dealings with China and to help adapt India’s priorities quickly and appropriately to address the research and educational demands arising from China’s emergence. The ICS seeks to promote interdisciplinary research on China and the rest of East Asia with a focus on expertise in China’s domestic politics, international relations, economy, history, health, education, border studies, language and culture, and on India-China comparative studies. It also looks to fostering active links with business, media, government and non-governmental organizations in India through applied research, executive training programmes, and seminars and conferences, and to serve as a repository of knowledge and data grounded in first-hand research on Chinese politics, economy, international relations, society and culture. The India Office of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung together with the ICS has been organizing the annual India Forum on China since 2017. With this event, an important international forum has been established to provide experts from around the globe with the opportunity to debate on one of the most relevant issues of our time. Topics discussed during the conferences were, among others, the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative and its implications for Asia, recent developments in the Indo-Pacific, the economic landscape of Asia as well as the US-China relations.
India Foundation is an independent research centre focussed on the issues, challenges and opportunities of the Indian politics. The Foundation believes in understanding contemporary India and its global context through a civilizational lens of a society on the forward move. Based on the principles of independence, objectivity and academic rigour, the Foundation aims at increasing awareness and advocating its views on issues of both national and international importance. It seeks to articulate Indian nationalistic perspective on issues that can help understand the Indian civilizational influence on our contemporary society. KAS India has been teaming up with the India Foundation since last 3 consecutive years on various topics from security and strategy to governance and economy and has even mounted a multilateralism focused joint delegation to Brussels and Berlin.
FSI or Forum for Strategic Initiatives is, as the name indicates, a Forum based in Delhi which aims to provide a platform for research, analysis, option formulation and evaluation of national security policies of, and security relationships between, states, particularly those in South Asia and the Asia Pacific region. The Forum is conceived and will remain dedicated to a better understanding of the multi-dimensional relevance of security on national, regional as well as global issues. The Forum undertakes rigorous research and analysis of national security policies and strategic issues of relevance to India with a view to providing constructive inputs for policy development and to increase general awareness on issues impinging on formulation and implementation of national security strategies and policies through Discussions, Seminars and Round Table Conferences. Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung has a long running partnership of over 10 years with FSI in the form of annual Indo-Pacific Dialogue held in December each year along with series of round table discussions titled the "Chanakya Chakra" discussing the various aspects of national security policies and strategic issues of relevance to India & the World.

Global Dialogue Review (GDR) is an internationally circulated foreign policy journal and quarterly magazine that articulates the views of influential decision makers and commentators around the world on wide range of global issues, ranging from geopolitics & climate change to trade. GDR also hosts conclaves and seminars on similar lines encompassing the cream of academia, governance, commerce and civil society. Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in partnership with GDR has successfully organised two such annual summits titled Global Dialogue Security Summit since 2018 in order to discuss the the prospects and dimensions of the “New World Order” in the fields of security, economy and technology.
Lex Consilium Foudation works to promote the respect for Rule of Law and the legal system by offering legal support to policy makers, corporates, activists and the government by providing the requisite research in the area of legislation, judicial practices, law enforcement and corporate law. Rule of Law being the basic principle underlying the work & core values of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, KAS in partnership with LCF has oragnized various events which includes series of Nani Palkhivala Lectures & quiz on Constitutional Law for law students. A publication titled "Teachers' Handbook for Teaching Law" which deals with the important facts, principles, theories, and data to stimulate teachers for helping the students to understand how academic concepts apply to the real-world has been made available to over 700 law faculties in India with the support of KAS.
The National Maritime Foundation (NMF), New Delhi, was established in 2005 as the nation’s first maritime think-tank for conducting independent and policy-relevant research on ‘matters maritime’. Since its inception, the NMF has grown from a fledging organisation into an established intellectual institution with robust academic linkages within the country and overseas. The genesis of the NMF lies in a long-felt need to readress India’s historical neglect of its maritime domain and to fill an acute intellectual void, by providing a common platform for discourse between maritime related institutions & organisations. The foundation provides an open forum for professional debate amongst the various stakeholders within India’s maritime domain, while serving to heighten maritime awareness amongst India’s policy-makers and intellectual elite. Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung has been actively working with NMF on various topics such as Blue Economy, SDG's & Maritime Security as well as inviting them to their domain related events in Europe.
