Der folgende Länderbericht bildet den zweiten Teil der dreiteiligen Länderberichtsreihe unter dem Titel: „Indien und seine Nachbarn.“ Vor dem Hintergrund der jüngsten Ereignisse wie dem EU-Indien-Gipfel, der den Weg für eine verstärkte strategische Partnerschaft zwischen Indien und den EU-Mitgliedsstaaten ebnete, zielt die Serie darauf ab, geopolitische Herausforderungen, Zusammenarbeit, Sicherheit und andere rechtsstaatliche Faktoren innerhalb der Asien- und Pazifikregion aus der Perspektive des indischen Subkontinents zu beleuchten.
