Welcome, Mr. Paul!

Am 28. November wird der Referent für Südasien der Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, Herr Lewe Paul, Indien besuchen, um sich mit der Arbeit des Indienbüros der Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung vertraut zu machen. Während seiner Reise nach Kalkutta, Chennai, Pondicherry, Neu-Delhi und Goa wird Herr Paul Einblicke in die Projektarbeit des KAS-Büros in Indien gewinnen, die ein breites Spektrum von Themen abdeckt, von der Außen- und Sicherheitspolitik über die Rechtsstaatlichkeit bis hin zu Trainingsprogrammen für Journalistenschüler.

3. Chanakya-Chakra-Forum- China Begreifen im 21. Jahrhundert

Die dritte Diskussionsrunde im Rahmen des Chanakya-Chakra-Forums, eine Veranstaltungsreihe, die vom Forum for Strategic Initiatives und dem Auslandsbüro Indien der Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung zu-sammen mit anderen Think Tanks organisiert wird, wird am 01. November 2019 im Manekshaw Con-vention Centre in Neu-Delhi stattfinden.

Wettbewerb in der indischen Politik- zwischen Dynastie und Demokratie?

Am 31. Oktober 2019 findet im Rahmen der Feierlichkeiten zum 100. Geburtstag von Nani Palkhivala die 9. Palkhivala Lesung statt, gemeinsam organisiert vom Auslandsbüro Indien und der Lex Consilium Foundation. Renommierte Gäste werden über das Thema Wettbewerb in der indischen Politik diskutieren und darüber, ob Dynastie und Demokratie koexistieren können.

Seminar on "Implications Of Attacks On Saudi Oil Installations" at Nehru Memorial Museum and Library

The attack towards Saudi oil facilities on 14th September represents the latest escalation in the strained situation on the Arabian Peninsula and West Asia, or more specifically, between Saudi Arabia and Iran. The most ardent issue revolves around the question to who carried out the attack on the oil production sites- Iran or Houthi rebels from Yemen. Against this backdrop, the South Asian Inter-Scholastic Association, the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library and the India office of the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation host a seminar on “Implications Of Attacks On Saudi Oil Installations” on 1st October at Nehru Memorial Museum And Library. Topics that will be addressed include the political situation in the Middle East, geopolitical ramification of the attack on Saudi oil installation and potentials and limitations of using drones as a factor in hybrid warfare.

Indische Politiker und Experten in Genf, Brüssel und Berlin

Eine siebenköpfige indische Delegation unter der Leitung von Suresh Prabhu, Minster für wirtschaftliche Angelegenheiten und zivile Luftfahrt a.D., wird zwischen dem 22. und 28. September Genf, Brüssel und Berlin im Rahmen des Dialogprogramms Deutsch-Indische Zusammenarbeit zur Förderung des Multilateralismus besuchen.

Am 17. Und 18. September organisieren das Auslandsbüro Indien der Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung und die World Association of Newspapers and Newspublishers (WAN-IFRA) gemeinsam einen Workshop zum Thema „Bekämpfung von Fehlinformation und Fake News“ in Gurugram, Delhi.

The report launch of the "Opportunities for a More Inclusive Indian Foreign Policy" (2nd edition) marked a significant moment in the discourse of Indian foreign policy. This comprehensive report was the result of a joint study conducted by the Kubernein Initiative and the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, India Office. The report launch event took place on 27th October 2023 and was graced by the presence of Ambassador Lakshmi Puri, former Assistant Secretary General of the United Nations and Deputy Executive Director of UN Women. Ambassador Lakshmi Puri played a pivotal role in the launch event by delivering the keynote address. Her wealth of experience and insights provided valuable context and perspectives on the report's findings. The report itself delved into the intricacies of Indian foreign policy, exploring avenues for greater inclusivity and diversity in its formulation and execution.
