Kenia auf dem Weg zu einer neuen Verfassung

Die Verfassung Kenias wurde 1963 ein Jahr vor der Unabhängigkeit in Lancaster verabschiedet. Viele Kenianer betrachten die Verfassung deshalb als Erbe des Kolonialismus. Mit Beginn der Unabhängigkeit wurde die Verfassung durch viele Änderungen vorrangig den Bedürfnissen der regierenden Politiker angepasst. Die Bevölkerung fordert derweil eine vollständig neue Verfassung.
