Navigating Entrepreneurship

A Nationwide Entrepreneurship Competition

After the great success of our first Navigating Entrepreneurship competition in 2021, Rural Entrepreneurs and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation hosted a second round - this time on a national level. The project successfully trained and guided grade 11 and 12 students in building entrepreneurial skills and developing business ideas, helping them to tap into world of entrepreneurship. The students were expected to come up with start-up pitches that would target challenges faced personally or in their community, and which would contribute to Lebanon with a socially valuable input.

Beirut Debates

Die Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung hat am 29. Oktober ihr neues Diskussionsforum "Beirut Debates" eröffnet. Die Reihe soll eine Plattform für Debatten zwischen Vertretern aus Politik, Privatwirtschaft, Wissenschaft, Aktivisten und der Zivilgesellschaft bieten. Das Format wird verschiedene Standpunkte zusammenbringen und eine Plattform bieten, um über die Herausforderungen und Chancen zu debattieren, mit denen der Libanon und die MENA-Region konfrontiert sind. Beirut, das im Nahen Osten für seinen liberalen Ansatz, Toleranz für Vielfalt Vielfalt und freien Meinungsaustausch bekannt ist, ist ein Dreh- und Angelpunkt der intellektuellen Debatten in einer Region, in der kritische Stimmen oft unterdrückt werden. Die erste Veranstaltung in dieser Reihe fand am 29. Oktober unter dem Titel "Rethinking Foreign Aid for Lebanon: A Reflection on Lessons Learned, Accountability and Responsibility ".
