Training for KAS Malaysia Scholars

This one-day interactive module was designed for scholars to enhance two essential skills for academic and professional success: Critical Thinking and Storytelling. In the first half of the day, participants engaged in activities that develop their ability to think analytically, make well-informed decisions, and solve complex problems. The second half focused on the art of storytelling, helping scholars learn how to communicate ideas with clarity, emotional impact, and creativity.

KAS Malaysia hosted a dinner discussion on 16 April 2025, bringing together key stakeholders committed to advancing women’s political participation in Malaysia. The evening focused on practical, solution-oriented conversations and also marked a leadership transition, with a farewell to outgoing Country Director Miriam Fischer and a warm welcome to incoming Director Natalie Russmann.

KAS Malaysia und das Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM) veranstalten erstes "Disability & Advocacy" Event

Am 25. Februar 2025 veranstalteten die Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Malaysia und das Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM) ihr erstes Event zur Inklusion von Menschen mit Behinderungen unter dem Titel „Disability Rights & Advocacy: Building a More Equitable Nation“ (auf deutsch: "Rechte und Interessenvertretung von Menschen mit Behinderungen: Aufbau einer gerechteren Nation"). Die Konferenz brachte mehr als 120 Teilnehmer zusammen, darunter Branchenführer, politische Entscheidungsträger und Interessenvertreter, um Strategien zur Schaffung eines inklusiveren Arbeitsmarktes und einer gerechteren Gesellschaft für Menschen mit Behinderungen zu diskutieren.

ESG Investments Necessary for Malaysian Corporate Sector to Keep Up, Experts Urge

Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM) takes charge in a crucial conversation about building a better future by unlocking Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) opportunities.

The Global Compact report, “launched in July 2000 by United Nations Secretary-General (the late) Kofi Annan, is an international initiative bringing companies together with UN agencies, labour and civil society to support ten principles in the areas of human rights, working conditions, the environment, and anti-corruption”. In her opening speech, Suganthi Subramaniam, MIM’s Head of Programme Management emphasized on how many more companies around the world are adopting ESG strategies to create value for their businesses as ESG builds a better future for the current and the next generations.
