21. Frankfurter Medienrechtstage 2025

„Medien und Wahlen“

Die Wahlergebnisse in der Republik Moldau und in Rumänien haben die Auswirkungen gezielter Informationsmanipulation dokumentiert. Der politische Diskurs findet in vielen Staaten außerhalb der Parlamente meist in Talkshows und den sozialen Medien statt. Seriöse Medienberichterstattung ist vor der aktuellen Bundestagswahl 2025 nötiger denn je. Doch in welchem rechtlichen Rahmen findet Wahlberichterstattung statt? Welche Chancen gibt es, sich gegen Informationsmanipulation zur Wehr zu setzen? Eine freie Wahlentscheidung ist auf manipulationsfreie und wahrheitsgemäße Informationen durch die Medien angewiesen. Die Sicherung demokratischer Wahlen gegen Desinformation und Propaganda ist eine der zentralen Herausforderungen für die freiheitliche Demokratie. Diese Themen werden auf den 21. Frankfurter Medienrechtstagen 2025 – nur wenige Tage vor der Wahl zum Deutschen Bundestag - mit Medienrechtlern und Medienexperten aus Deutschland, den USA und Südosteuropa an der Europa-Universität Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) debattiert.
