12:00Panel 2: Enhancing inclusive growth and economic diversification in Nigeria - forging a new partnership

To transform Nigeria’s economy more efforts are needed. Creating a dynamic and transparent environment for doing business and spurring the growth of local companies will be paramount. Simultaneously, there is the need for more quality infrastructure and the establishment of industries for processing and manufacturing goods in Nigeria to boost the competiveness and the diversification of the Nigerian economy. While the government of President Buhari has taken definitive steps to ensure sustainable and inclusive growth, there is a need for support to ensure that the efforts of government yield the desired results. Substantial support from the European and international partners and a new way of effective collaboration between equals and substantial investments will be needed to meet the demands.
