Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) in partnership with the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS) is organizing a workshop to build the capacity of the Members of Oyo State House of Assembly in Ogere-Remo, Ogun State.

After the series of training in 2020 to strengthen the capacity of the legislators to adequately perform their constitutional mandates which include law making, representation and oversight, further capacity building is needed to consolidate on the foundations laid. This year, themes such as budget processes, models and tracking; financial autonomy for State Houses of Assembly; functions, rules and organogram of State House of Assembly Service Commission; public sector financial regulations; state funds management laws; legislative oversight mechanisms; digitalization of the State Houses of Assembly will form the basis of the training. The seminar is part of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung’s support to democracy, rule of law and good governance in Nigeria.
