Interagency Collaboration among Security Agencies in the South-South Zone

Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS), is collaborating with Nigeria’s House of Representatives’ Committee on Army, and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) to organize a three-day training workshop for middle-level officers of security agencies in the South-South zone of Nigeria.

Participants are from the Nigerian Correctional Service, Nigerian Customs Service, Department of State Services, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Nigerian Military, Nigerian Police Force, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigeria Immigration Services, and the Federal Road Safety Commission and from Bayelsa, Delta and Rivers states. The workshop aims at building capacity of officer’s in the area of interagency collaboration and conflicts resolution with regard to joint operations, intelligence gathering and sharing, surveillance, criminal prosecution, conflict management, civil-military relations as well as ethics and professionalism. This workshop is organized with the view of enhancing operational effectiveness. The workshop is part of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung’s support to the Security Sector Reform in Nigeria. This program is funded by the Federal Republic of Germany.
