Details

The North-East geopolitical zone of Nigeria is currently ravaged by terrorism, insurgency, armed banditry, kidnapping, and violent extremism. Personnel of security agencies and the civilian populace in the six North-East states have witnessed several attacks which have hampered progressive development in the region, hence the urgent need to strengthen the capacity of security agencies and other stakeholders to combat the persistent insecurity. Through this seminar, KAS is expanding platforms for productive engagement among the various security agencies to work out modalities to improve collaboration, as well as avenues to encourage the active cooperation and participation of civilian citizens through information sharing, building confidence and trust to effectively combat insecurity in the zone.
