One-Day Planning Workshop for Speakers of KAS Partner State Houses of Assembly

Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in partnership with the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS) is organizing a planning workshop for the Speakers of Plateau, Cross River, Ogun, Oyo, Ondo, Lagos, Enugu, Abia, Rivers and Delta States Houses of Assembly.

KAS has been partnering for years with a number of State Houses of Assembly proving capacity building seminars in order to improve their understanding of democratic governance. Since 2020 the seminars are organized in partnership with NILDS. Before KAS and NILDS will begin their series of capacity building seminars for partner state Houses of Assembly in 2021, the speakers of the assemblies have been invited to a workshop in Abuja during which areas of need and interest for their different assemblies will be identified.Opening remark at this workshop will be given by the Director General of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), Prof. Abubakar O. Sulaiman.The seminar is part of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung’s support to democracy, rule of law and good governance in Nigeria.
