PUBLIC POLICY DIALOGUE ON THE ARMED FORCES ACT (AMENDMENT) BILL

Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS), in collaboration with the House Committee on Monitoring and Implementation of the Legislative Agenda and the National Institute of Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS) is organizing a Public Policy Dialogue on the Armed Forces Act (Amendment) Bill. This Bill is as a result of the findings from the KAS National Security Overlapping Mandates Survey.

Details
The objective of the public policy dialogue is to produce a final legislation that considers the recommendations and feedback from respective stakeholders. During the dialogue, the bill will be presented to security agencies. Participants at the public policy dialogue will include the Minister of Defence, Chief of Defence Staff, Chief of Army Staff, Chief of Air Staff, Chief of Naval Staff, Chief of Defence Intelligence, Chairmen of the House Committee’s on Defence, Army, Air Force, and Navy. This public policy dialogue is part of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung’s support to Security Sector Reform in Nigeria and is funded by the Federal Republic of Germany.
