For this retreat, KAS is engaging seasoned consultants with extensive experience in security sector legislation and governance to review the recommendations from the survey with a view to developing appropriate interventions that would address inherent gaps in the current statutes of the various security agencies in order to promote cooperation, collaboration and coordination. The retreat also aims at developing workable tools, resources and roadmaps that will spur stakeholders to action towards embracing systemic change in the development, processing and execution of the mandates of security agencies to eliminate interagency rivalry created by conflicting provisions or clauses in the various statutes. The retreat is part of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung’s support to the Security Sector Reform in Nigeria. This program is funded by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany
