KAS Webinar: The Nordic Countries during the Corona crisis

The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Nordic Countries Project would like to invite you to our second recurring webinar on the topic "The Nordic Countries during the Corona crisis". Last time we tried to present this seminar, we had an unfortunate event with our internet-connection that did not let us pull through with the webinar, so now we of course want to try it again. We invite you to join us on Zoom to follow the discussion on the 3rd of June between 12:00 and 13:30 (GMT+2). The discussion will be moderated by Gabriele Baumann, head of the KAS Nordic Countries Project.

Details

As of today, the Nordic countries still have different approaches in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. Sweden has extended their warnings for international travel until 15 July. Norway has already implemented the digital infection tracking service “Smittestopp” for over a month and Denmark plans to open the borders to visitors from Germany and Norway. The Finnish governments goal is to transition to a “new normal” and Iceland claims to be close to eradicating the coronavirus in the country after mass-testing the population.

How have the implemented strategies in the Nordic countries worked out so far? Are the currently introduced measures enough and how does it affect the economy?

Does the COVID-19 pandemic open up for new innovation and development as a result?
