Solution-driven Regional Water Journalism Workshop
Virtual workshop, Apply before August 20
Aspiring environmental journalists, media professionals and entrepreneurs are invited for a tailored online workshop aiming at mainstreaming solution-driven reporting of acute water-related challenges in the MENA region. The journalist will work together with environmental entrepreneurs to report on their solutions addressing water-related challenges in the MENA region. Three of the elaborated articles will be shortlisted for a one-on-one coaching session with a renowned regional environmental journalist.

Aware that joint regional and international efforts are needed to reach carbon neutrality and sustainable Green Hydrogen production in the MENA region, the Regional Program Energy Security and Climate Change Middle East and North Africa (REMENA) of Konrad-Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) is organizing a virtual workshop on Green Hydrogen policies in the MENA region with close consideration of the Energy-Water-Climate Nexus, on June 22, 2021.

MENA Academy on Climate Diplomacy
In its efforts to foster dialogue and collaborations among the various stakeholders involved in climate change adaptation and mitigation, the Regional Program Energy Security and Climate Change Middle East and North Africa of Konrad-Adenauer Stiftung (KAS – REMENA) and MEDRC Water Research organize jointly the Middle East and North Africa Academy on Climate Diplomacy, from October 28 to November 03, 2019, Berlin – Germany.
MENA Workshop on Water Security & Environmental Peacebuilding
The workshop is offered by the Regional Program Energy Security and Climate Change Middle East and North Africa of Konrad-Adenauer Stiftung (KAS – REMENA) and the Program on Water Security of EcoPeace Middle East. The workshop will take place in Rabat, Morocco, from the 14th to the 16th October (three days). Participation is open to practitioners and civil society organizations from the MENA region. Limited space is also available for individuals from academia, think tanks, development agencies and foundations.
EU-MENA Young Leaders Academy on Sustainability and Resource Security
Aware that common regional and international efforts are needed to support sustainable livelihoods and future resource security in the MENA region, the Regional Program Energy Security and Climate Change Middle East and North Africa (REMENA) and the Multinational Development Policy Dialogue (MNED) of Konrad-Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) organize jointly an “EU-MENA Young Leaders Academy on Sustainability and Resource Security”, from September 23 to 27, 2019 in Brussels, Belgium.
