ANTI-CORRUPTION AND ACCOUNTABILITY MOVEMENT IN AFRICA

KAS' Rule of Law Program for Sub-Saharan Africa in collaboration with Adv. Paul Hoffman (SC), Director of Accountability Now (IFAISA) South Africa and in partnership with universities in Nairobi launched the ‘Anti-Corruption and Accountability Movement in Africa’ campaign that seeks to actively involve the youth in the fight against corruption in Africa.

HUMAN TRAFFICKING IN EASTERN AND SOUTHERN AFRICA

KAS' Rule of Law Program for Sub-Saharan Africa in conjunction with the National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs) in Eastern and Southern Africa conducted a workshop on Human Trafficking in Mombasa, Kenya.

LEADERS FOR JUSTICE WORKSHOP

The workshop brought together academics, lawyers and magistrates from Togo, Côte d'Ivoire, Mali, Benin, Burkina Faso and Nigeria to discuss the critical challenges of public finance in West Africa.

Training for South Sudanese Prosecutors on International Crimes, Including SGBV Crimes

The Rule of Law Program for Sub-Saharan Africa in conjunction with the UN Mission in South Sudan Rule of Law Advisory Section (“UNMISS”) and UN International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals Office of the Prosecutor (“OTP”) convened a five-day training workshop for prosecutors from South Sudan in Nairobi, Kenya in June 2019.
