Prospects for the EU's Eastern Policy

Poland will take over the EU’s rotating presidency in July 2011 from Hungary. Thus the year 2011 will be very likely focused on Eastern Europe and the perspectives of the EU’s Eastern policy.

The office of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in Moscow is therefore organizing together with the Center of International and Regional Policy, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Russia, the Polish Institute and the Moscow State Institute of International Relations MFA of Russia (MGIMO) the international conference “Poland’s EU Presidency and Prospects for the EU’s Eastern Policy” from 25th to 26th November 2010 in St. Petersburg. Main discussion topics of the conference will be the ‘Eastern Partnership and the EU’s Policy toward Russia’, the ‘Russia-Poland-Germany Triangle’ as well as ‘The Changing European Security Environment and the EU’s Eastern Partnership’.
