This online discussion, introducing the report and its findings, is organized by Center for Democracy and Technology (CDT) and the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung USA. Three of the report’s authors—one from each country—and a leading researcher on online disinformation will participate in a panel discussion, followed by Q&A. Portuguese interpretation will be available.

The experts will discuss the impact of disinformation on societies and citizens with an emphasis on the United States, Brazil and France. To quote the report “election disinformation appears poised to continue undermining democracy and diminishing public trust in government. It will take all of us—governments, civil society, members of the media, social media platforms, and end users—to defend against it and uphold global democracy.”
