Chinas Weltansicht: von Mao bis Xi

Am 17. März 2023 veranstalteten die Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung und die Diplomatische Akademie Vietnam (DAV) den China Talk 21 mit dem Thema "Chinas Weltansicht: von Mao bis Xi". China hat einen massiven politischen und wirtschaftlichen Einfluss auf die Region Südostasien, und das Verständnis für Chinas Ansichten ist entscheidend für den Umgang mit dem Land in der internationalen politischen Ordnung. Die jüngsten Entwicklungen rund um Taiwan und Chinas Rolle im Krieg zwischen Russland und der Ukraine zeigen, warum dieses Thema so wichtig ist wie eh und je.

Der 10. Ocean Dialogue

Erneuerbare Offshore-Energie: Chancen und Herausforderungen der Energiewende

Der "Ocean Dialogue" ist eines der jährlichen Kooperationsprogramme zwischen der Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Vietnam und der Diplomatischen Akademie Vietnam (DAV). Die Reihe des "Ocean Dialogue" schafft Bewusstsein über die politischen und wirtschaftlichen Wichtigkeit der Ozeane und bietet eine Plattform für den Wissensaustausch aus unterschiedlichen Perspektiven. Am 23. März 2023 wurde die 10. Ausgabe mit dem Titel "Erneuerbare Offshore-Energien: Chancen und Herausforderungen der Energiewende" in Nha Trang organisiert und wurde von über 200 in- und ausländischen Experten besucht.

Projekt zur Kursentwicklung - Politik der Globalisierung

Workshop zur Curriculumentwicklung

"Politik der Globalisierung" ist ein zweijähriges Gemeinschaftsprojekt der Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Vietnam in Zusammenarbeit mit der Universität für Sozial- und Geisteswissenschaften in Ho-Chi-Minh-Stadt (USSHHCM) und zielt darauf ab, das Thema "Politik der Globalisierung" in den Lehrplan für Internationale Beziehungen (IB) an der Universität aufzunehmen. Vor diesem Hintergrund wurde am 9. und 10. März 2023 in Ho-Chi-Minh-Stadt erfolgreich ein zweitägiger Workshop organisiert. Der Workshop bot den Teilnehmern die Möglichkeit, die Themen von Politik und Globalisierung zu diskutieren.

Course building workshop on "Foreign Policy Analysis"

Course building on "Foreign Policy Analysis" (FPA) is a 3-years joint project of Konrad-Adenauer Stiftung Vietnam and Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam with the aim of incorporating FPA in the International Relations (IR) curriculum at Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam. Against this background, a two-day workshop was successfully organized in Ho Chi Minh city on 25th & 26th November 2022. The workshop served as a forum for exchanging ideas among Vietnamese scholars and researchers, and with their foreign colleagues about the syllabus of the FPA course.

Dissemination research's findings

Legal framework promoting circular econmy in the area of waste management

On 27th October, the dissemination workshop on the research’s findings about the legal framework promoting circular economy in the area of waste management was organized in Hanoi. The research conducted this year, 2022, is under a three – year joint project between KAS Vietnam and Institute of State and Law on “Legal framework promoting circular economy for sustainable development: International experiences and implications for Vietnam”. In the first project year, the area of focus is waste management.

The South China Sea International Conference is an annual international conference organized by the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV) with the support and partnership of KAS Vietnam.

Workshop "Improving the Verification of the Settlement of State and Local Budgets"

Since 2019, under the pillar of Representation and Participation, Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Vietnam together with the Finance and Budget Committee of National Assembly has been cooperating to organize a number of nationwide training workshops on State and Local Budget verification. Improving capacity for deputies in verifying the settlement of State and Local Budget is the determination of the NA’s Finance and Budget Committee in boosting the efficiency of overseeing public expenditure; KAS Vietnam takes the honor to support these activities with the belief that the transparent and effective use of public finance is the key for good governance.

On 28th September, Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation successfully organized the 4th webinar of the HOPE project in collaboration with the Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE) with technical support from Hamburg University, Germany.

9th Ocean Dialogue: Marine Scientific Research

Confidence Building and Environment Sustainability

On 5th October 2022, Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation in collaboration with the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam and the British Embassy Hanoi successfully organized the Ocean Dialogue 9 in Nha Trang City, located at the South China sea which is home to an abundant and diverse group of marine species and ecosystems. The event that focused on “Marine scientific research: Confidence building and environment sustainability” was attended by hundred on-the-ground participants and about 200 hundred online-attendants. The full-day-conference was divided into 4 sessions, each of them featuring interesting discussions from experts from Asia, Europe and America. For a long period, marine scientific research has been advocated as an area of common interest to restore ocean sustainability and build confidence among coastal states.

The Mekong Forum 2

ASEAN Centrality in addressing the challenges in the Mekong sub-region

On September 27th 2022, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and the Institute for Foreign Policy and Strategic Studies (IFPSS) of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam jointly organized the second Mekong Forum about "ASEAN's centrality in addressing the challenges of the Mekong Sub-region". As the Mekong issue plays an imperative role for the whole Southeast Asian region, the ASEAN Mekong Basin Development Cooperation (AMBDC) was established in 1996. However, it has made no significant progress compared to other dynamic mechanisms in the sub-region.
