4. Europakonferenz in Cadenabbia

European Roundtable | 18. – 20.10.2019

Zum vierten Mal lud die Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung unter der Schirmherrschaft von Dr. Hans-Gert Pöttering, Beauftragter für Europäische Angelegenheiten der Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung und ehemaliger Präsident des Europäischen Parlaments, Politiker(innen) aus zwölf europäischen Ländern zum „European Roundtable“ in Cadenabbia ein. Ziel der Konferenz war es laut Herrn Pöttering vor allem, angesichts der aktuellen unruhigen weltpolitischen Lage, Gemeinsamkeiten für zukünftige „vertrauensbildende Maßnahmen“ für die Europäische Union zu finden.

In the area of digital innovation, Germany can learn a lot from Asia. In September, a delegation of twelve Asian innovation experts visited Berlin. They had a clear message: Whoever wants to shape the future in his or her own interests must actively promote innovation and be open to change. Collectively shaping the future of German-Namibian friendship

High-ranked Namibian delegation visits Berlin on the invitation of the administration of the German Bundestag and the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung

From February 17th until February 23rd 2019, the Namibian speaker of parliament Peter Katjavivi together with a delegation consisting of members of parliament and administrative staff, visits Germany’s political hub Berlin. In cooperation with the administration of the German Bundestag, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung invited fourteen high-ranked senior officials of the Namibian parliament for a study visit to Berlin.

Great Britain's exit from the European Union is getting closer. But even though the United Kingdom withdraws from European institutions, Britons want to stay "best friends" with the rest of Europe, UK Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt stressed during his visit at the Konrad Adenauer Foundation: Shared values, thriving trade, close cooperation in security and the network of the international order will continue welding together the island and the continent in the future.
