Guidelines

The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung e.V. promotes liberal democracy, social market economy and the development and consolidation of value consensus throughout Germany, Europe and the world.

With its international work, the foundation works to create an international order of peace and justice and contributes towards representing German interests across the globe.

The starting and orientation point for the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung is the Christian understanding of the human as the creation of God in his/her equality, diversity and imperfection. The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung is committed to freedom, justice and solidarity. For that reason, the future of the Christian democratic movement in Germany, in Europe and in many countries around the world depends upon meeting the new challenges of our time.

In a continually shrinking world, the boundaries between domestic and foreign policy are becoming more nebulous. Thus, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung e.V. increasingly links its domestic work to its international activities. It incorporates skills in international work and its experiences with other peoples, cultures and value systems into the discussion on the self-evident raison d'être of the Christian democratic movement. It can rely on its worldwide network in order to do so.
