The President of the Saxon State Parliament, Dr. Mathias Rößler, visited Albania from May 9th to May 13th, 2024, at the invitation of the Konrad-Adenauer Stiftung. He met with President Bajram Begaj, Prime Minister Edi Rama, Interior Minister Taulant Balla, as well as the Deputy Speaker of Parliament and other high-ranking personalities. The focus of his discussions was Albania's accession process to the European Union and the role of local governance in it.
