The European Summer School offers its participants the opportunity to intensively discuss and gain knowledge on current goals and issues of Albania’s integration in the European Union, in an interdisciplinary atmosphere and under the guidance of experts in the field.

The Council of the European Union, consisting of government ministers from the 27 EU member states agreed on the 24th of March 2020 to initiate membership negotiations with Albania. While the accession process with Northern Macedonia can start immediately, the council has formulated certain conditions for Albania, which must be met in advance, such as: electoral reform, implementation of justice reform, fight against corruption and organized crime, correction of the law on media etc.
