KI wird die meisten Lebensbereiche verändern. Sowohl in der Forschung als auch in der Anwendung gehört Deutschland zur Spitzengruppe weltweit. Vorrangige politische Aufgaben, die es in Bezug auf KI zu lösen gilt, sind die Forschungsförderung, der Datenschutz und die Klärung ethischer und gesellschaftlicher Fragen.

Zeitgeschichtliche Bildung in der Schule – das Fach Geschichte

Zeitgeschichtliches Wissen ist unabdingbar, um sich in Politik und Gesellschaft zu orientieren. Es trägt in einer komplexer werdenden Gesellschaft zum gesellschaftlichen Zusammenhalt bei. Um Jugendlichen bessere Kenntnisse in Zeitgeschichte und Politik zu vermitteln, bedarf es einer Aufwertung des Geschichtsunterrichts in der Schule: Die derzeitigen Stundenzahlen reichen nicht aus; die Curricula für das Fach Geschichte sind überarbeitungsbedürftig. Zeitgeschichte muss als Schwerpunkt - auch gegenüber anderen Fächern - gestärkt werden.

There were important, but not unexpected, decisions on the topics of security and migration that were most recently discussed. The European Council called on the Internet industry to work more strongly against extremist content, agreed on common military structures and called for the creation of a complete list of safe third countries. Further topics were: international, fixing the criteria and the process for the change of location of two European agencies, the topic of economics, and the future issue of a digital Europe.
