Members of the African Policy Circle Helen Kezie-Nwoha, Executive Director of Isis Women’s International Cross Cultural Exchange in Uganda and Aditi Lalbahadur, Programme Manager for the Foreign Policy Programme at the South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA) publish a paper on "SDG 16: The Challenge of ‘Sustaining Peace’ in Places of Crisis". Their research was conducted subsequent to a dialogue programme entitled "The African Policy Circle goes UN: Empowering local influencers through dialogue on the 2030 Agenda" organized by the KAS New York office.

Dezember als 29. österreichischer Bundeskanzler angelobt wurde, lag ein bemerkenswertes Jahr hinter dem erst 31-Jährigen bisherigen Außenminister. Die von Kurz geführte neue Koalition zwischen der ÖVP und der FPÖ setzt nun auf Entlastung der Bürger, wirtschaftliche Stärke, Bildung, und den Kampf gegen illegale Migration. Unter kritischer Beobachtung der Öffentlichkeit wird vor allem die FPÖ stehen.

This event took place at the New York office of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in cooperation with the American Council on Germany (ACG) on November 27th 2017.

Mit Schreiben vom 29. März 2017 erklärte Großbritannien offiziell seinen Wunsch, aus der Europäischen Union austreten zu wollen. Die Europäische Union machte direkt zu Beginn dieses Prozesses klar, dass es keine Verhandlungen über ein zukünftiges Handelsabkommen geben werde, solange es keinen sufficient progress hinsichtlich der Austrittsverhandlungen unter besonderer Berücksichtigung der Rechte von EU-Bürgern in Großbritannien, der Grenze auf der irischen Insel und den finanziellen Verpflichtungen der Briten gegenüber der Union gebe.
