Details

KAS Australia and the Pacific is pleased to announce the 2021 KAS-EUCERS Energy Dialogue. This year, the Dialogue is a trilateral one to be held between Australia, Germany and Japan on the emerging hydrogen economies in, and shared interests by, these countries.

According to Dr Llewelyn Hughes - Associate Professor, Australian National University,

“Australia, Germany and Japan are now taking the lead in a nascent international market for hydrogen. National hydrogen strategies released by governments in each country are designed to spur the development of hydrogen and related infrastructure domestically. National strategies also reference policy choices being made elsewhere, however, and envision an important role for cross-border trade and investment through supply chain development.”

The first virtual seminar is scheduled to be held on 15 July in cooperation with ANU CCEP, the University of Tokyo and the German-Australian Hydrogen Alliance. Moderated by Prof Frank Jotzo - Head of Energy, Institute for Climate Energy & Disaster Solutions, Australian National University, the event features Prof Friedbert Pflueger - Director, European Cluster for Climate, Energy and Resource Security, University of Bonn and Managing Partner, Bingmann & Pflueger Intl., Prof Masakazu Sugiyama - Professor at Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology (RCAST), The University of Tokyo; Hydrogen Envoy of Queensland State Government and Ass Prof Llewelyn Hughes - Steering Committee Member, Zero Carbon for the Asia-Pacific, Australian National University.

This event is a closed expert group – by invitation only.
