In this forum, senior German and Australian representatives from industry, policy and research will map out opportunities for collaboration on hydrogen R&D, investment and trade, and discuss how to overcome barriers.

Prospects for a German-Australian Collaboration


The speakers include Dr Joachim Pfeiffer MP – Spokesperson for Economic and Energy Affairs of the CDU/CSU Parliamentary Group in the German Bundestag; Jo Evans – Deputy Secretary, Climate Change and Energy Innovation, Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources (DISER); Dr Stefan Kaufmann MP – Innovation Commissioner for “Green Hydrogen” at the Federal Ministry of Education and Research; Innes Willox – Chief Executive, Australian Industry Group; and Dr Joachim Lang – Director General, Federation of German Industries (BDI). There will also be a moderated panel discussion including German and Australian energy experts and academics as well as business representatives from relevant industry sectors. The discussion will be rounded up by Prof Friedbert Pflueger – Director of EUCERS, our cooperation partner for the Energy Policy Dialogue since its inception in 2018.
