KAS-ANUCES Roadshow Rule of Law - Regional Programme Australia and the Pacific
Online-Seminar
Details
There will be a Delegation from Canberra, including Scott Wyatt – Senior Adviser for Energy and the Environment from the EU Delegation (EUDEL Canberra), travelling to Newcastle. Newcastle and the Hunter Region, for those of our readers unfamiliar with it, is one of Australia’s oldest and most productive mining regions affected by the ongoing energy transition. The Delegation is scheduled to meet various local stakeholders to discuss one of the EU’s most ambitious legislative projects. In addition, in a seminar organised in cooperation with the University of Newcastle – Institute for Regional Futures (UON IRF), the Delegation will discuss questions including
What can the Hunter and Australia learn from the EU’s ambitious model – the Green Deal – to transition to a carbon neutral future? What insights can we share about our own experiences with our European counterparts? And, how can the rule of law be shaped to support the energy transition?
Facilitated by Prof Roberta Ryan – Executive Director, UON IRF, the seminar features:
