From 4 to 12 February, 2016, a high-level delegation consisting of Dr Klaus Schüler, Dr Gerhard Wahlers and Frank Priess attended a political dialogue programme with expert meetings in New Zealand and Australia.

Dr Klaus Schüler, Federal Director of the Christian Democratic Union Party (CDU), Dr Gerhard Wahlers,

Deputy Secretary General of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) and Head of the Department European and International Cooperation of KAS, and Frank Priess, Deputy Head of the Department European and International Cooperation of KAS, were part of a German delegation holding high-level political talks and expert meetings in Wellington, Sydney, Canberra, and Melbourne.

The delegation discussed questions of foreign and security policy, development cooperation in the South Pacific, and economic cooperation to enhance the Australia-Germany and New Zealand-Germany partnership.
