Os Conselhos Consultivo e Editorial da KAS se reuniram na cidade do Rio de Janeiro para apresentar propostas para a Fundação Konrad Adenauer no Brasil. Foi um encontro com grandes debates e importantes trocas de ideias e experiências.

Alumni of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation founded the first Stammtisch in Brazil to benefit from the experience of their fellow ex-scholarship holders, to network and to strengthen their bonds to the foundation.

Meeting of the Advisory Board of KAS Brazil

On the 19th of September 2014 the Konrad Adenauer Foundation Brazil invited its advisory board members to the annual board meeting in Rio de Janeiro where the counsellors evaluated the foundation's focuses and strategic development.

Edition Porto Alegre

On the 15th of August 2014, KAS hosted its 5th edition of “Democracia Virtual” in the city of Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul. The event took place in cooperation with the University ESPM Sul and the Federation of Brazilian Students of International Relations. The event had at its core the understanding of how the internet and social media in particular affect the workings of civil society and political culture in general.

Inlandsprogramme der Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung

Auf Einladung der Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung besuchten außen-, sicherheits- und verteidigungspolitische Experten aus Mexiko, Brasilien, Chile, Kolumbien und Peru vor kurzem Berlin und Hamburg. Neben hochrangigen Vertretern aus dem Auswärtigen Amt, dem Verteidigungsministerium sowie dem Bundeskanzleramt standen der Delegation auch Wissenschaftler aus Universitäten und Think tanks sowie Mitglieder des Auswärtigen Ausschusses und weitere Bundestagsabgeordnete als Gesprächspartner zur Verfügung.

During the school network competition in international relations pupils discussed the current flashpoints of international politics and economics and hence increased their abilities in public debate and rhetoric.

When journalists meet

Seven German scholarship holders of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation’s journalist academy JONA and seven Brazilian aspiring journalists created the trilingual website contario.net during an eleven days long workshop. This website enlightens its visitor in a very striking manner about the opportunities and challenges in one of the most famous cities of Latin America: Rio de Janeiro. The use of data, images, videos and short stories provides the reader with detailed insights into the lives of Rio’s residents.
